Camper Set-up
- Heavy-duty extension cord (10-14 gauge) - in case the 20' cord attached to the camper isn't long enough to reach the power hook-up for your particular campsite
- 5-gallon bucket or gray water tank - for the water coming out of the sink (or shower)
- Drain hose - to direct gray water into the gray water bucket or to drain water directly into the campsite's sewer system, depending on the type of campground
- Blocks of wood - for leveling the camper
- Chocks - to keep the tires in place; blocks of wood work but plastic chocks work, too
- Fire extinguisher - the camper has a fire extinguisher but a second one is a good idea
- Free-standing awning (rentals do not include a camper-installed awning--sorry!)
- Tarp for shade - depending on your campsite
- Awning stakes
- Door mat - helps keep the camper floor cleaner than without one
Tools
- Hammer - mostly for staking-down awnings and tarps
- Pliers
- Power drill - to operate the stabilizing jacks without hand-cranking, among other uses
- 13/16" socket and 3/4" socket (or a star-wrench) - for changing tires
- Jumper-cables - to recharge the camper battery from the tow vehicle's battery (if the campsite doesn't have a power hook-up)
- Square-drive (Robertson-drive) screwdriver
- Phillips screwdriver
- Towel / rag (that you don't mind getting muddy/dirty)
- Shovel - to help level the camper and to help with a campfire
- Generator - if you need 110V power and the campsite does not have power hook-ups
- Duct tape
- More duct tape
